Report:
On
Jan. 2, 2014, a Do-Fluoride's R&D project, known as "Technique
Development for Lithium-enriched Anhydrous Aluminum Fluoride", was granted
scientific-technological achievement status by the Henan Provincial Department
of Science and Technology. The technique was further recognized as meeting
national advanced standards. The project is expected to improve Do-Fluoride's
performance in the aluminum fluoride business, and enhance the company's
competitiveness.
China's refrigerant industry expected to face many challenges
in 2014
Currently,
R22 and R134a play dominant roles in China's refrigerant market. However, the
two products presented different tendencies in 2013. Thanks to policy support,
prices for R22 began to recover in the second semester, while prices for R134a
reached their lowest point and have not recovered, due to serious overcapacity
and weak demand. China's refrigerant industry is expected to face many
challenges in 2014.
PTFE’s ex-works price rallies in Jan. 2014
Having
gone through a sharp decrease in Q4 2013, the ex-works price of PTFE rallied in
Jan. 2014 in China. However, due to the sluggish demand from downstream
industries, and the continuously slight decrease of the price of its raw
material—R22, it is estimated that the ex-works price of PTFE will not witness
continuous increase in Q1 2014, but will keep relatively stable or decrease
slightly instead.
Fluoride salt’s ex-works price witnesses continuous uptrend in
Jan. 2014
In
Jan. 2014, the ex-works price of fluoride salt witnessed a continuous uptrend
generated from Q4 2013. It is estimated that it will see a barely noticeable
increase in Q1 2014.
Yizhang Fluorine Chemical Industrial Park witnesses sound
development
On 21
Jan., 2014, Yizhang Fluorine Chemical Industrial Park, the former Yizhang
Baishidu Fluorine Chemical Circulation Industrial Park, passed the provincial
evaluation and became a provincial industrial park. Besides, the second-phase
construction of the fluorine chemical project in the industrial park has begun,
indicating a sound development of the industrial park.

R&D capability of fluorine electronic gases is witnessing increasing
development.
Jiangsu Meilan increases input in construction of advanced
fluorine-contained material projects
On 22
Jan., 2014, Jiangsu Meilan announced to launch its second-phase technical
renovation project of advanced fluorine-contained material in Taixing Economic
Development Zone, which will contribute to the company's adjustment of product
structure and sustainable development.

On
Jan. 7, 2014, news came that 3F Zhonghao, a subsidiary of Shanghai 3F, was
about to construct a new fluorine fine chemical project in Jiangsu Changshu
Advanced Materials Industrial Park, where 3F Zhonghao is located.
