Tranalysis: Live – Ministry of agriculture Pesticides Inspection and information sharing

Ministry of Agriculture Pesticide Inspection Institute shared the following info at the fourth pesticide import and export situation analysis and experience-sharing sessions:

As it can be seen from the table above, the volume and value of pesticide exports continued to decrease substantially in recent years. 2016, the volume and value of pesticide exports declined by 21.8% and 33% in the first half of the year. The declines slowed down then in the first half, by 7% and 8%, respectively in nearly 3 months


The distribution of mainly target countries of China Pesticide exports:


Jan. to Oct. 2016, the top 30 countries and regions of China’s Pesticide exports in the country, contain 10 countries, in which the exports value was more than $100 million, namely Brazil, the United States, Australia, Argentina, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Russia, and Pakistan. The total value is USD2.49 billion, accounting for 55.2% of the total value. Tranalysis listed a main export market distribution of the continents:


13 Asian countries: For India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Pakistan, Japan, Malaysia, Israel, Singapore, Turkey, Iran, Korea, and the Philippines, the total exports volume was 308,900 tonnes and trade value reached USD $1.219 billion.


4 African countries: For Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and Côte d'Ivoire, the total exports volume were 100,400 tonnes and the total trade value was USD $240 million.


6 South American countries: For Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Chile, the total exports volume was 237,000 tonnes, the trade value reached USD $1.018 billion.


2 North American countries: For the United States and Mexico, the total exports volume was 101,700 tonnes and the trade value reached USD $599 million.


4 European countries: For the Russian Federation, Belgium, Ukraine, and Italy, the total exports volume was 57,800 tonnes, the trade value reached USD $293 million.


1 Oceania country: For Australia, the total exports volume was 84,700 tons, the trade value reached USD $285 million.


3. Top 10 pesticide products exported to the United States from China:


Top 10 pesticide products exported to the United States from China: followed by Glyphosate, dicamba, grass-methyl amine, chlorobenzene sulfonamide grass ether, paraquat, the Chrysanthemum ester sulcotrione, nitrosamines, chlorothalonil, ammonia, chloro acids and abamectin. The total exports volume was 47,000 tonnes, accounting for 57% of the total American pesticide volume. The trade value reached 260 million US dollars, accounting for 47.2% of the total value.


Top 10 pesticide product exported to Australia from China: followed by Glyphosate, trifluralin, paraquat, clethodim, acetylene benzene n-metolachlor, 2-4 CL, imidacloprid, ammonia, chloro acids, Fargo, and Glufosinate. The total exports volume was 67,000 tonnes, accounting for 79.5% of the total Australia pesticide volume. The trade value reached 180 million US dollars, accounting for 62.9% of the total value.


Top 10 pesticide product exported to Argentina from China: followed by Glyphosate, atrazine, methyl acetochlor, efficient methyl fluoride-Wo ling, clethodim, paraquat, dicamba, 2,4-D, imidazole acetic acid, and chloro sulfonamide grass ether. The total exports volume was 53,000 tonnes, accounting for 87.4% of the total Argentina pesticide volume. The trade value reached 100 million US dollars, accounting for 79.5% of the total value.

Glyphosate: The total export volume was 249,900 tonnes from Jan. to Oct. 2016, accounting for 65% of total export volume. The top 10 export markets are: Brazil, the United States, Australia, Argentina, India, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, the Russian Federation, and Pakistan.


Paraquat: The total export volume was 100,100 tonnes from Jan. to Oct. 2016, accounting for 71.2% of the total export volume. Major top 12 export markets are Thailand, the United States, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, Nigeria, Mexico, Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu, Paraguay, and Ghana.


Imidacloprid: The total export volume was 10,100 tonnes from Jan. to Oct. 2016, accounting for 59.6% of the total export volume. Major Top 10 export markets are Brazil, India, Israel, the United States, Australia, Pakistan, Ukraine, Colombia, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
